After the (relatively) quiet time that is summer in Oriel House, we’re getting prepared to welcome our first students of the 2012/13 school year.
We’ll be working with some new schools this year, along with many we’ve been working with in the past, and we’re looking forward to meeting and getting to know a new group of students and teachers.
We’ll be working with students and teachers both here in Oriel House and in their own schools. Kevin has lots of new activities planned for the students and Ciarán and Claire will be working with teachers and principals to help them implement the Bridge21 learning model in their own schools and classrooms.
With the recent Leaving Cert results, CAO offers and proposals from the universities to radically change their admission systems, education is a hot topic in Ireland at the moment. Amidst this gathering storm of uncertainty and debate, the NCCA’s programme of reform for Junior Cycle make this a very exciting time for Irish education and we are looking forward to having an important role to play in helping bring about some of the much needed changes.
If you’re a teacher or principal, and would like your school to work with Bridge21, you can register your interest here.
If you’re interested in working with us as a volunteer mentor, there is some information and a short form to fill in here.
