Educate Together Second Level Research

Educate Together will be opening the doors to their first Second-Level schools in September 2014.  As part of the extensive preparation for this, two workshops were run to pilot integrated, cross-curricular approaches to learning with students in the Junior Cycle age range, and to see how they and their teachers viewed the experience.

The first of these workshops took place in Bridge21 with the second in Adamstown Community. Overall, the experience of the students and teachers was very positive. Many of the challenges of  implementing a new approach to teaching and learning were encountered and this experience will no doubt prove very valuable in the years to come.

Everyone at Bridge21 was delighted to be involved with this exciting project and we’re looking forward to working with Educate Together again in the near future!

Reports on both workshops from both student and teacher perspectives are available here.
